The many blending voices
And laughter that I heard
Are slowly disappearing
By every sound and word.
It's fading into silence
Despite how much I try
To keep the love and laughter,
The hope and dreams alive.

My days are marked,
No longer mine.
Drifting,
Falling,
Fading.
The blackness is escalating.
The blackness I see in sleep -
The color of madness and obsolete.
Too soon, my life is incomplete!
Going,
Going,
Gone.
Madness, it is all around me;
Death has marked and Fate has found me.
Falling,
Fading,
Gone.
I watch from hell as you move on.
You take my things, forget my life;
Yet I am dead, a sacrifice.
The darkness soothes,
Helps me forget -
I fade into eternal rest.
Comforted by shadows,
Kept alive by the dark.
I will make you join me -
So you'll be numbered, marked.

Uncertainty turns my world to shadows
Blood, dust, darkness -
Screams, then silence
I hear the echo of tired sirens
Waiting for my world to erupt
As mankind passes on
Leaving only me
To tend to land and sea
As if I can belong
The smell of death is in the air
Accompanied by a great despair
I've outlived all and I'm alone
I've no place to call my home
No one to chance upon

To its small hole of hell?
