Silence rises on a fallen world:
Forgotten dreams but coincide.
End of the world so catastrophic,
As ground and horizon collide.
Soldiers' corpses on the hill;
A barren world for a dead fleet.
Forget decent man's goodwill -
How can chaos taste so sweet?
Poppies lain upon their graves,
On this Remembrance Day.
Silence rises on a fallen world:
And keeps the good of man away.
Abandoned hope within this forest,
A flowerbed for dreams deceased.
Hark! Laughter, brought forth on the wind,
From those who found their peace.
A darkened path of more dead wishes;
As dusk paints the fading skies.
Ghostly smiles, translucent waves,
From soldier incarnates' goodbyes.
Can the fallen rise again,
And become what it was?
No one fights like a soldier does.
Our destiny is elsewhere now;
Try to scream but don't know how.
Blind and silent, and deaf as well -
Living on this planet hell.
We will only rise to Heaven...

It wasn't going to be about Remembrance Day, but I didn't know where else to take it.
